April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player from the United States She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman, competing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics, will try to earn her third medal. Ross wants to achieve more than just her first Olympic medal. With her age of 39, this may be Ross' last chance to take home the Olympic gold. Nevertheless, she remains confident of achieving top honours. If we do our highest or do well, I believe we can get that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. Additionally, I'm going be relying on a little bit of good luck. Ross was born the 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She lived there with her family. Along with participating in a variety of sport, she also attended Newport Harbor High School. In addition to indoor volleyball, she ran track and basketball in her pre-college days. Although she was a pro at indoor volleyball but it was apparent that her skills were above normal. In her own biography her high school days, she played volleyball as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a setting (outside blocker). In recognition of her work she was awarded the 1999 Gatorade International Player of the year in Circle of Champions. Additionally, in 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the Year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play in the year 2017. The reality is that Ross played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball before joining the duo. Actually, Ross has won several important tournaments throughout her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be an impressive force on the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 together. At the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded the gold medal. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor clinched gold ahead of them. As fate would have it Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball trophy at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross started her college professional career playing for the Trojans of USC following graduation from high school. It was a long time before Ross made her debut on the sand and turned professional. Her experience at USC was quite impressive. When she was a freshman in 2000 Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 and NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. She also helped the Trojans get to into the Final Four. After her sophomore year, she experienced a terrible personal loss, yet earned the distinction of being an All-American. The last two years as a member of the Trojans in the program the team was led to success by winning two the national title in consecutive years. As an individual she established herself in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players across the country. Ross, a USC international relations major, was a star in volleyball. Unfortunately Ross mom Margie never got to see Ross rise to the highest levels of beach volleyball fame. Ross's mother passed away from breast carcinoma in the year 2001. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. She has kept her parent close to the heart. Margie is an inspiration both on and off of the beach.
