Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. He shot to fame after his performance as a character in Road Trip. Since then, he has appeared in 20 feature films, such including The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. Also, he's appeared on 22 TV shows including Breaking Bad Supernatural scrubs lost Law & Order and Law & Order, among other. Qualls had been diagnosed as having Hodgkin's Lymphoma around age 14 and has been fighting the disease ever since. After two years of treatment, the cancer has gone into remission. Being treated at such a young stage had a negative effect on his body. It hampered his development. When he started taking on the role of an actor, financial security was his aim. He was a victim of the poverty of his youth. When he was interviewed, he stated that if I do not have financial stability or I find myself feeling out of control in the world, I'll be unhappy. The man also talks about his youth to inspire him. DJ states "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." The ideal role for DJ is that of a father in real life. Yet he confesses "Directors do not cast me in the roles I'm in." He would like to become father one day to be able to devote more time to his son as well as his professional.
