Singer-songwriter John Denver touched millions of people, and achieved superstar status with his folk-based pop songs with a lot of them being set in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Germandorf in Roswell located in the state of New Mexico,, was in Love with Colorado. The place he settled was Aspen. More than a few people beat a path towards Colorado due to Denver's famous songs for his home state. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. Denver became one of the very first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. He is the face of Colorado to a large number of people across the globe. On my trips, I've met people from New Zealand or the other side. If you say you're from Colorado the first words they'll say is"Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time in folk groups and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff created the song along with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver saw an early rendition and listened to it, he was convinced that the song was likely to become an instant hit. In the days following his performance before a large crowd on the streets of Washington D.C., the performer recorded his own song.
